We're seeking someone to join our Analytics team as a Director in Capital Planning to work across a variety of internal and regulatory initiatives.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Director level position within the Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing/Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) process.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
- Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
- Perform strategic capital and financial analysis to support Senior Management decision-making
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to conduct capital impact analysis related to new/proposed regulatory rules, new initiatives, and new products
- Manage Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Quarterly Stress Test production, including the FR Y-14A forms, as well as related regulatory rule interpretation and documentation
- Create and review documentation for the Firm's capital plan submissions and capital adequacy assessment
- Support execution of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Attestation process for FR Y-14A control framework
- Add value and be productive in our high energy setting

What you'll bring to the role:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, high degree of technical proficiency (e.g., MS Office) and ability to learn quickly
- Working experience in financial services or management consulting
- Strong analytic, writing and presentation skills, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and client service skills
- Adept at working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Proven track record of great teamwork and ability to work across organizational boundaries
- Ability to work on multiple projects under a compressed timeline
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- MBA, CPA and/or CFA is a plus but not required

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $95,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
