Internal Communications Director - Intranet and Workflow Product Owner

Internal Communications is a centerpiece of employee experience, linking colleagues to business strategy, resources and each other. Internal Communications is seeking a Product Owner for the Intranet Content Management System (Adobe Experience Manager) and our workflow tool (Workfront).
This role will drive platform strategy and the roadmap for the Firmwide intranet. This high-impact role involves stakeholder engagement, platform updates (including personalization and refresh efforts), senior leadership presentations, and testing new AEM releases. The Director will also drive strategy and roadmap for Workfront to streamline workflows and improve governance. The Product Owner will work closely with colleagues in Corporate Communications, Marketing, Technology, Corporate Services, Investment Management and Human Resources, as well as business unit clients and senior management. The Intranet platform includes integrations with Firmwide Directory, Firmwide GenAI Search and Social Collaboration platforms.

What you'll do in the role:
Platform Strategy & Roadmap
• Define and prioritize the platform strategy, product roadmap, and release planning.
• Gather, organize, and assimilate internal and external feedback to identify and prioritize product gaps, enhancements, and new features
• Collaborate with UI/UX team to develop information/interaction architecture, user flows, wireframes, and visual design comps
• Set the roadmap for AEM enhancements and integrations with Firmwide Directory, GenAI Search, and Social Collaboration platforms.
• Drive workflow strategy and use case implementation roadmap for Workfront.
• Collaborate with the Program Management Office to organize and plan product releases.
Requirements and Agile Delivery
• Develop and communicate business requirements and user stories aligned with product goals.
• Assist with defining critical user journeys, use cases, workflows, and business processes.
• Support the prioritized product backlog: identify, groom, and validate epics and user stories for agile sprints.
• Participate in daily standups, backlog refinement and sprint planning ceremonies to communicate requirements and represent the business
• Prepare presentations, user demos and status updates
Daily Operations and Issue Management
• Provide training and technical support to key stakeholders for AEM and Workfront.
• Create templates and landing pages for internal clients
• Own production issues reported by support, which includes tracking, prioritizing, communication, and overseeing prompt resolution.
• Track KPIs and product/program adoption and usage metrics - evangelize for adoption
• Establish best practices and governance protocols for new content platforms and develop process to review existing platforms before migration to achieve consistent content management capabilities, user experience, brand and search across the intranet.
Communications & Engagement
• Prepare presentations, user demos, and status updates for stakeholders and senior management.
• Provide strategic communications planning and execution support for internal engagement across the firm.
• Support Internal Communications with high-profile, communications campaigns
What you'll bring to the role:
• 6-8 years of experience as a software or digital product manager, project manager, product owner, or business analyst, preferably within an agile/scrum development environment.
• Proven experience using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Workfront.
• Proficient in defining, analyzing, documenting, and communicating product and software requirements in an agile setting.
• Strong understanding of web and mobile technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives concurrently under tight deadlines.
• Experience in the finance industry and/or corporate communications.
• Track record of delivering innovative fintech, digital products, solutions, or applications.
• Knowledge of UX and/or graphic design, analytics, and internal digital platform management. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse business and technical stakeholders.
• Analytical and data-driven mindset; skilled at using data to measure performance, identify opportunities, and inform decisions.
• Keen intellect with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable product requirements.
• Enthusiastic about collaborative execution and cross-functional teamwork

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 90000 and 155000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
