Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.
Services Tech
Services Technology is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm's WM Technology Division. The charter of this department is to develop applications that covers Service to Sales which includes Contact Center, Client Onboarding, Account Opening, CRM, JAWS, Document Management, Workflows, RPA that supports FAs, CSAs, and Operations.

What you’ll do in the role:
Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of complex database and ETL solutions to support business intelligence, analytics, and integration needs.
Define and enforce database standards, best practices, and security guidelines across the organization.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data owners to gather requirements and translate them into robust data architectures.
Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, data platform upgrades, and adoption of new technologies.
Oversee performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of large-scale distributed databases.
Mentor and guide development teams, providing architectural oversight and technical leadership.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution.
Document architectural decisions, data flows, and technical standards.
What you’ll bring to the role:
15+ years of hands-on experience in database architecture, design, and development (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, or similar platforms).
Proven expertise in data modeling, database performance tuning, and optimization of distributed systems.
Extensive experience with ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, DataStage, etc.) and data integration strategies.
Strong background in data warehousing concepts, cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS), and big data technologies.
Advanced SQL programming skills, including stored procedures, triggers, and complex query optimization.
Experience leading large-scale data migration and modernization projects.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git, TeamCity).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead technical teams.
Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills:
Exposure to investment management, wealth management, or financial services domains.
Experience with BI and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in data management.
Nice to Have:
Experience with advanced analytics, machine learning, or data science platforms.
Participation in industry forums or contributions to open-source data projects.
