We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Data & Analytics Engineer to work as an integral part of AI & Data Tech (AIDT). The Sandbox team is tasked with providing a high performance, highly reliability analytics and data integration platform, leveraging the latest technologies in public cloud (Snowflake, DataBricks) and advanced analytics to a wide variety of users and use cases.
AI and Data Technology (AIDT) is a horizontal, dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm's WM Technology Division.

This is a Data & Analytics Engineer position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for providing specialist data analysis and expertise that drive decision-making and business insights as well as crafting data pipelines, implementing data models, and optimizing data processes for improved data accuracy and accessibility, including applying machine learning and AI-based techniques.

What you'll do in the role:
Participate in designing and developing Cloud solutions and participate in migration efforts from legacy technologies
Participate in end-to-end project delivery from inception to post-implementation support
Analysis of existing designs and interfaces and applying modifications or enhancements.
Providing insights and resolution for ad-hoc issues raised by Sandbox users
Testing software components and complete solutions (including debugging and troubleshooting) and preparing migration documentation.
Providing reporting-line transparency through periodic updates on project or task status.
Perform the root cause analysis of issues and be able to help to design solution as required with partner teams to solve them.
Provide support to issue resolution as needed – which may happen in late hours
Participate in Friday/Weekend releases
What you'll bring to the role:
At least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science/Engineering
Minimum of 2-3 Years of working experience, preferably as data engineer
Good understanding of RDBMS and data warehousing concepts
Strong SQL skills preferably with data integration, ETL, ELT focus.
Working python knowledge and ability to do data manipulation or deliver simple tools
Ability to do the technical analysis and implementation of Data solutions
UNIX Shell scripting experience to support data warehousing solutions
Nice to have:
Deep Snowflake and/or DataBricks knowledge is a big plus
Experience in Data Analytics tools preferably with DataIKU, Tableau, Altreryx or such self service solution.
Experience in optimizing very large data loads.
Experience with detailed Error/Exception handling and Data Validation issues.
Experience in taking part in architecting ETL solutions and data conversion strategies
Experience in Agile methodology
Experience in Developing, managing, and maintaining data dictionary and or metadata.
