Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Risk / Policy Mgmt in Baltimore, MD
Execute Operational Risk Framework including monitoring, reporting, and associated governance/escalation. Analyze and monitor operational risk datasets to assess the Firm’s risk profile and identify themes. Coordinate with colleagues who cover Business Units and Infrastructure Groups in discussing the impact of various framework governance changes. Execute Operational Risk Framework components including Operational Risk Incidents, Issues and Actions, Taxonomies, and Risk Identification. Create, monitor, and present program metrics and reports to summarize the status for various senior management committees. Create clear, concise, and insightful materials in support of Senior Management reporting. Monitor industry developments in the management of operational risk. Participate in and provide ongoing support for audit and regulatory reviews and inquiries. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Salary: Salary range for the position: $104,000 - $104,000 /Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Analyst, Credit Risk, Market Risk, or closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: working in compliance, product management, technology management, or risk management; providing risk data analysis to extract meaningful insights; distilling data insights and presenting observations to drive business risk decisions; creating comprehensive risk reports to present key metrics and trends, supporting risk management and decision- making processes; compliance with regulatory legal requirements and mandates by delivering accurate and timely reports in response to regulatory inquiries; providing subject matter recommendations based on risk analysis; creating and managing complex risk metrics; Microsoft Excel including vlookup, index, match, indirect, table array, sum, countifs, time functions, support functions, Pivot Table, and VBA programming; creating presentation materials using Microsoft PowerPoint.
