We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Director in the Financial Resource Management Operations (FRM) team covering the FRS Desk. The Director will work closely with the Business Units and Operation team across firm in realizing the Firms objectives. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone to be exposed to a very steep learning curve and gives all individuals the opportunity to develop a meaningful career within Operations.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Manager position at Director level within the Shared Services And Banking Operations department.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Partnering closely with Trading desk to focus on Capital and Liquidity of the firm. Good understanding on RWA, Realignment, Triparty and Recalls.

  • Responsible in ensuring that the daily Exposure coverage from Bond Borrow exposures with the Counterparty

  • Ensuring that all Loans and Pledges are booked and confirmed as intended by checking the internal Morgan Stanley systems, liaising with Middle office or the Counterparty directly.

  • Good understanding about Triparty trade lifecycle in terms of Exposure covering. Settlements and Confirmations areas will come to you to discuss and resolve issues to ensure that breaks are resolved effectively

  • Responsible for ensuring current controls are followed, manage critical projects or process improvements with IT and Projects Groups

  • Analyze and break down ambiguous or complex issues into concrete deliverables and takes responsibility for ensuring deliverables are met

  • Understanding risk implications from process perspective. Working with other operations group to ensure proper trade processing and reporting

  • Managing stakeholder relationships across the business unit. The successful candidate will report directly into the Officers. The primary tasks for the successful individual will include:

  • Oversee the tracking and monitoring of queues as per standard operating procedures.

  • Contribute to production and recognize proper delegation, setting of department goals, work on synergies across different teams, projects to increase production and create efficient workflows and processes Skill set.

  • Manage a team of Associates/Analyst in terms of personal development, oversee production to ensure deliverables are on time and are of high quality, and provide timely feedback..Manage escalations, and show a strong inclination towards problem solving and innovation.

  • Strong relationship management and possess good oral and written communication skills. Good collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment Competencies/skills - specify 'required' or 'desired'.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Product knowledge: Adequate Banking & SWIFT knowledge desired

  • Excellent PC skills in data analysis and producing presentations.

  • Should have good understanding about Alteryx, PowerBi, UI Paths and little bit of AI knowledge. Independent self-starter and excellent team-player

  • Team & People Management skills. Ability to lead & motivate others, Attention to details and ability to work to deadlines along with problem solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task, priorities and manage daily workflow. Flexibility to adapt and respond to client request in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to work on public holidays.Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • University graduates in finance or other related disciplines

  • Experience in Financial Services industry desired. Experience in Operations desired
