We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Penetration Tester with Python Specialist to join our team as a KBS Testing (Key Business Service) Testing in our global team to meet the growing focus globally on KBS (Key Business Service) application testing. This role is key to a wider testing program which helps reduce risk and improve overall resilience.

Firm Resilience

Firm Resilience leads and coordinates initiatives to proactively prepare the Firm to be resilient against operational threats as well as identify and manage material operational risk.

Risk & Resiliency Management

This is Director position that Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks to ensure operational continuity and resilience in the face of potential threats or disruptions that could impact the organization, plus management of ongoing incidents.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Contribute to the function through a range of operational activities and project tasks, developing an understanding of the business and operating environment.

  • Design and implement Python scripts to automate cyber resilience testing scenarios, including API-based simulations and data extraction for reporting.

  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to orchestrate and execute chaos testing scenarios (e.g., simulating database outages, webserver failures, or network disruptions).

  • Contribute to enhancements that proactively identify resilience gaps across microservices, APIs, and infrastructure components.

  • Participate in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) exercises, including cutover simulations and recovery validation.

  • Document scenario definitions, test results, and remediation plans. Contribute to overall program's documentation comprising run books, SOPs.

  • Work as a squad team member and contribute to work in Kanban JIRA environment.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Python scripting - including use of decorators, generators, and debugging techniques

  • Ability to engage with the broader team, communicate goals, tasks and deliverables in 1-1 and team meetings.

  • Exposure to cyber testing methodologies such as SQL injection

  • Experience with resilience testing tools and scripting for automation (e.g., Ansible, Python).

  • Understanding of infrastructure components: identity management, backups, networks, data centres, and storage systems.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud-native data structures (e.g., Snowflake, MongoAtlas).

  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and documentation.

    Preferred Attributes

  • Mindset oriented towards cyber risk and resilience-ability to think like an attacker and identify failure points.

  • Exposure to architecture-level concepts across distributed systems, databases, and network layers.
    Awareness of AI-driven automation and its application in resilience testing.
