Department Profile:
The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of ~3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.
Team Profile:
The Project Management Team is a Change organization which is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of financial and regulatory Program. The team serves the needs of multiple Finance organizations including Legal Entity Controllers, Regulatory & Capital Reporting Controllers, External Reporting and Liquidity & Treasury Reporting teams.

Job Summary:
This resource specification is for a business analyst with strong analytical and communication skills working on initiatives to improve the quality, timeliness, and centralization of data, as well as, deliver capabilities to improve financial and regulatory reporting processes. Functions include:
- Documentation of the current state processes, business requirements including the target state processes
- Performing detailed data analysis and communicate findings to cross-functional teams
- Gain strong understanding of financial products and existing reporting processes.
- Participate in working sessions to discuss issues and design solution capabilities
- Participate in execution of the testing phase with all stakeholders (testing approach, test plan, cases, testing metrics)
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to drive project delivery
- Plan and participate in meetings with the stakeholders raising appropriate status, risks, and issues
Qualifications:
- 3-8 years of experience as a business analyst
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact with various levels throughout the organization across functions and business units
- Strong organization and process skills; attention to detail
- Self-starter; good time management; team player
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills are required to perform detailed data quality analysis, root cause issue analysis, and data reconciliations.
- Exposure to designing processes and incorporating strategic thinking
- Exposure to financial products such as Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives is a plus
- Experience with data quality management, financial services or capital markets data is a plus
- Experience with regulatory reporting is a plus
Systems:
- MS Office skills
- Knowledge of Business Process Mapping tools like Visio
- Experience with General Ledger query/ reporting tools (SAP ECC, SAP BPC) a plus
- Experience with Disclosure Reporting or Regulatory Reporting a plus
- Experience with Testing & Quality Management systems is a plus (ALM, RALLY, JIRA)
- Experience with Alteryx a plus.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
