This is a Cybersecurity Ops III position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents to ensure the organization's systems and data are protected from actual and potential threats or breaches.

Division Profile

The Threat Hunting & Cybersecurity Detection team leverages offensive cyber tactics to identify threats within the Firm’s network through the creation of advanced custom cyber analytics to hunt for higher end cyber actors, also delivering high-quality, actionable threat intelligence to the Firm.

Role Profile

The Global Threat Intelligence team is seeking an innovative self-starter to join our Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team in Baltimore. In this role, you will support CTI’s data collection, curation, classification, triage and analysis. You will proactively monitor the threat landscape for new cyber threat activity, including threat actor techniques, vulnerabilities, and cyber incidents involving the Firm’s third-party suppliers, by leveraging open-source intelligence and vendor intelligence. You will use your knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and the cyber threat landscape to produce tactical, operational, and strategic reporting relevant to the Firm’s Intelligence Requirements (IRs), escalate intelligence to various technical teams, and coordinate with external peers and intelligence sharing groups to share and consume intelligence.

  • Responsible for collection, review, assessment, analysis, and escalation of information

  • Responsible for the periodic review and fine-tuning of escalation thresholds

  • Responsible for regional coverage of daily monitoring of intelligence related to the Firm’s IRs, including notable cyber activity/campaigns, critical vulnerabilities, and cyber events impacting critical third parties - authoring reports as necessary

  • Responsible for contributing to the curation of collection feeds and queries based on intelligence and monitoring

  • Perform assessment of actionable indicators of compromise for tasking

  • Perform research, analysis, and reporting of finished intelligence products for a diverse stakeholder base, including (but not limited to) developing threat assessments for various technologies and tactical threat activity reports based on threat actor TTPs

What you'll bring to the role:

Experience & Skills Required (Essential):

  • 5+ years’ experience in a cyber threat intelligence role

  • Critical thinking and analysis skills and experience to carry out in-depth analysis of information to satisfy range of intelligence products

  • Strong reporting skills and experience – tactical, operational, and strategic levels preferred

  • Experience with intelligence data collection from multiple sources, leveraging automated and non-automated processes

  • Experience communicating the analysis of cyber threats (written and oral) at both a strategic and operational level

  • Working knowledge in following areas: vulnerabilities and exploits, malware, adversary tactics (TTPs), phishing, and financially motivated or APT threat groups

  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK

Experience & Skills (Preferred):

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or 4+ years equivalent technology experience

  • Prefer background or experience in long form/strategic reporting on various technology types, including emerging technology, cryptocurrency/Distributed Ledger, Artificial Intelligence and its various forms, Quantum Computing, etc.

Salary range for the position: $85,000 and $150,000 per year. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
