We're seeking someone to join our team as a Software Integration Engineer


The Real-Time Market Data group is a global team developing and maintaining applications that are connecting to stock exchanges, commodity and derivatives markets, SI's and other locations of trading in securitized instruments.
Our team is the main entry point for trading data into the firm, focusing on offering normalized data to clients, with high quality and accuracy and very low latency.
We constantly work with multiple business units and technical teams to ensure that the services are improved continuously, including access to new trading venues.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Integration Engineer at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:


- Deploy applications into resilient production environments, mainly in London but occasionally into other regions
- Be responsible for application testing and change preparations, while maintaining the high standards of the configuration repository
- Liaise with developers to ensure quick resolution of issues and upholding data quality standards
- Take part in planned exchange testing or certification events (some weekend or overnight work may be required)
- You may also be required to serve as L3 support
- Be part of a global Agile squad with members in Budapest, London, North America and Asia

What you'll bring to the role:


- High standards for quality of work and accuracy
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of Linux
- Ability to write shell one-liners or 5-10 lines of code for generic data processing
- Experience in performing basic network testing / troubleshooting (TCP/UDP)
- Basic Python OR Perl scripting skills

You might also have:


- Application testing, deployment and troubleshooting experience
- Experience in automation / DevOps, CD/CI
- Advanced knowledge in networking (routing, multicast, packet analysis)
- Advanced Linux / internals (/proc, IO, CPU binding, network stack)
- Good shell / Python / Perl scripting skills
- Basic knowledge of regular expressions (RegEx)
