PRIVATE WEALTH MANAGEMENT (PWM)

Within AWM, Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in crafting bespoke wealth management plans. Our teams work directly with clients to deliver customized strategies, leveraging Goldman Sachs' deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities, and global reach. Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) offer an unparalleled investment platform, encompassing the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, including tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning, and private banking and lending services.

YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking a highly motivated Wealth Management Professional (Analyst/Associate) to join the Cross Markets Team (CMT) in London, which is part of the PWM Capital Markets team within Private Wealth Management. CMT is comprised of product specialists who provide investment ideas and execute trades across Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodity (FICC) markets. In this role, you will primarily provide operational support across FICC markets, working closely with FICC product specialists and PWM teams to service our clients. You will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, strong communication skills, and exceptional client service are essential for maintaining and enhancing our business.

RESPONSIBILTITIES

  • Leverage your operational background and experience to contribute to the growing Asset & Wealth Management business.
  • Assist the FICC CMT team with comprehensive pre-trade checks, trade booking, risk management, post-trade checks, and revenue tracking.
  • Proactively anticipate, determine, and recommend solutions to meet client needs and resolve issues surrounding client/trade-related activities in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Leverage AI tools and automation to enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows
  • Collaborate with Private Wealth Advisor teams to answer internal and external trade-related queries.
  • Assist with various aspects of client portfolio performance reporting and valuation issues.
  • Liaise with middle office teams to resolve trade booking and settlement issues.
  • Engage with counterparts in Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Management on a variety of projects.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment and across group functions.

QUALIFICATION

  • At least 1 year of experience in a FICC/Global Markets Operations or Risk role.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record.
  • Strong interest in global financial markets and derivative instruments.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented player with a solid work ethic and high levels of motivation.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, innovative thought processes, and proactive time management with follow-through.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Prior experience in a markets-facing middle office team, wealth management operations, or investment process implementation is a plus.
